My JRSC has about 19K miles on it and I'm planning to change the SC belt this weekend for the first time ('98ITR). I couldn't find any posts on this forum for SC belt replacement instructions/tips/techniques. Can anyone provide a step-by-step belt replacement procedure or point me to a URL that may have them? (I obviously didn't install the JRSC myself).
BTW, I've already purchased a 620mm belt based on spec's I found on this forum.
Thanks in advance.

Wow, 19k on the original S/C belt. I'm on my forth belt and third (now steel) pulley after about 25k miles. You've done well.

Remember, buy only the Bando belt (the equivalents don't fit).
I lost my A/C idler pulley yesterday on my back from Montreal.... had to cut my P/S and A/C belts, but I made it home OK... incidentally, there was a noticeable butt dyno increase with those "mods"
CHECK YOUR PULLEYS ALL THE FRIGGIN' TIME!%#&

I can walk you through it on the phone if you like.
Get the car jacked up on the drivers side and remove the front wheel and plastic splash shield under the car.
Now, call me at (205) 798-0112. I can run you through this on the phone in about 15 minutes.

Guess I've been lucky with my long lived SC belt. BTW, it's still intact, I'm replacing it because there are some chips on some the ribs on the inner side of the belt.
The replacement belt is part number: 4PK0620, I hope this considered a "Bando" - it's made by Goodyear.

I recommend changing the SC and Alternator belts every 12K miles. Also, the ONLY reason that the pulleys get grooves in them (looks like shiny wear lines) is because of too much belt tension. Now, once the black hardening has been worn through, the soft shiny metal below will wear no matter what... so then it is too late. My suggestion to anyone who is just getting their blower installed, or has recently replaced idler pulleys: inspect the tension frequently to make sure the pulley is not getting any wear marks on it. Then check it routinely to make sure that this tension is maintained.

Zeus:
I had a buddy in our machine shop make a idler pulley out of 2" dia. steel. It's identical in dimensions to the JR one, we even used the old bearing. The stock JR A/C idler pulley still looks fine.
JRcivic:
Due to the inaccessability of the (GSR) S/C belt, I have a hard time determining belt tension. I typically tighten at the first hint of belt squeal, on initial install. After that adjustment, I'm good for about 6 months. I've also found that letting the belt squeal for any length of time will glaze the belt's contact surface and then no matter how tight the belt is, it still squeals.

I ordered some gauges from JR so I asked Shawn to send me a blower belt and pulley tensioner(for free). My supercharger has about 7k and the tensioner is shiny so I gonna replace it in another 5k miles.
